Summer evenings.....super good fun times.

New Orleans Induced Food Coma

Spent 4 days eating/drinking/walking/sweating in New Orleans. We are still in a food induced coma (or was it the incredible heat? or the mojitos? or cajun mary's? or the trillion miles of walking? or the feathery nests, um, I mean beds at the w? or a combination of it all?).

We don't know how to stop hurting ourselves at this point. For example, instead of eating a bowl of rocket last night (as we should have) we instead had (at minimum) inch thick porkchops that we picked up at Poche's on the drive home.

And there will be no relief until Graham goes home. It's gordo taqueria for lunch today, and something on the grill tonight.

I believe tomorrow is sushi.

If we don't die before then.

Good Pie!

Mmmmm! Good Pie at Kuntry Katfish....

I'm don't usually indulge in sweet ooey goodness, but the good pie at Vernon's Kuntry Katfish is hard to resist. It is pure trashy heaven....a layer of sweetened cream cheese, topped with bananas and crushed pineapple, whipped cream, toasted pecans and chocolate syrup.
